Crossbar
Also commonly referred to as a "goal", it is a physical, metal structure in which a ball is kicked or punted to score points, mostly in Soccer, Hockey, and Football. In Football, the crossbar is a much larger structure with two bars (one on each side) supported by a large, metal pole set into the ground. In Hockey and Soccer, the crossbar is much smaller, with the frame against the floor with a net attached to the bars so the referee can be certain that points should be awarded. In this case, there will be a goalie standing between the opposing team and the goal.
