Dwyane Wade
Dwyane Wade is the star player of the NBA’s Miami Heat. After leading Marquette to a berth in the NCAA’s Final Four, he was the fifth pick in the notoriously deep draft class of 2003. Since then he has developed into one of the games most unstoppable offensive players. A 6-4/1,94m guard, Wade is equipped with an explosive first step and great body strength that enable him to penetrate and finish at the basket almost at will.
When Shaquille O’Neal joined the Miami Heat in the summer of 2004, Wade became the third elite guard to be teamed with Shaq. Falling to the Detroit Pistons in the Conference Finals in 2005, the Heat finally came through in 2006. Rallying from two games down against the Dallas Mavericks to win in six games, Dwyane Wade was the obvious choice for Finals MVP.
Suffering a shoulder injury during the 2006-07 season contributed to the Heat’s early exit in the playoffs. This season, Wade again missed time with shoulder problems and he has opted for season-ending surgery. Dwyane Wade is a member of Team USA and has been elected to the All-Star Game every year except for his rookie season
