FC Dallas
The FC Dallas is a professional soccer club from Frisco, Texas. It was founded as Dallas Burn in 1996 and changed its name to FC Dallas in 2005. The team participates in Major League Soccer (MLS) and won the U.S. Open Cup in 1997.
Among notable former Dallas players are Mexican national hero Hugo Sánchez (1996), Alain Sutter from Switzerland (1997-1998) and US international Cory Gibbs (2004, now Charlton Athletic).
The FC’s owner is Clark Hunt, who also owns the Kansas City Chiefs, competing in the National Football League (NFL).
