Kevin Garnett
Kevin Garnett is a basketball player for the NBA's Boston Celtics. Garnett, who was drafted in 1995 right out of high school, is widely considered one of the top power forwards and all-around players in the game as well as one of the most intense competitors in all of sports. K.G. is also said to have started the wave of high school players declaring for the NBA draft, which eventually led the League to install an age limit.
The lanky 6-11 Garnett played for the Minnesota Timberwolves from 1995-2007 before joining the Boston Celtics prior to this season. K.G. took the Timberwolves to the playoffs for eight consecutive seasons but only advanced to the Western Conference Finals once, losing to the Los Angeles Lakers in 2004. That same year, Kevin Garnett won the regular season MVP award.
This season, with the Celtics sporting the best record in the entire NBA, Garnett is once again on the shortlist for the MVP.
