Mehmet Okur

Mehmet Okur is a basketball player for the NBA's Utah Jazz. The 7-foot Turk is an exceptional shooter and - in spite of athletic shortcomings - an integral part of a Jazz team that is contending for a title.

After winning a national championship with Efes Pilsen in 2002, Okur joined the Detroit Pistons and won a title as an important bench player in 2004. That summer, Memo signed with the Utah Jazz where his game blossomed and he was named to the All-Star Game in 2007.

Mehmet Okur is married to the former Miss Turkey, Yeliz Caliskan.
