Amélie won't play in Beijing

Former World No. 1 tennis player Amélie Mauresmo announced that she will not play in the 2008 Olympics.

The Athens 2004 silver medalist hadn’t been nominated for the singles tournament by the French tennis federation F.F.T., but only for the doubles.
Mauresmo said she made that decision as she wants to prepare properly for the US Open, her "last large goal of the season".
