Celtics need just two more
The Boston Celtics demonstrated their home strength on Sunday once again, beating the Los Angeles Lakers 108-102. This gives them a 2-0 lead in the NBA playoff finals. For winning the best-of-seven series, they need only two more victories now.
The Lakers fought hard at TD Banknorth Garden, reducing the arrears point by point. The Celtics almost lost their 24-points lead in the last eight minutes when L.A. approached up to 102:104, but finally survived with a lead of six points.
Paul Pierce gathered a total of 28 points for his team, while Kobe Bryant scored 30.
The third match will be played on Tuesday, June 11 at the Lakers’ Staples Center.
