The fortnight of the saved match points
What's going on there at the Sony Ericsson Open in Miami?
Will this tournament become the fortnight of the saved match points?
On saturday, Amélie Mauresmo faced Shuai Peng from China in her Round 2-match. I followed it on the live-scoreboard, sitting in front if my computer nail biting. They were in the 3rd set when Amélie saved Peng's match point at 4:5, and afterwards she broke back again at 5:6. She seemed to be absolutely irresistible in the tie break then, which she won 7:2.
As if this hadn't been enough for my shattered nerves, Svetlana Kuznetsova did the same to me only one day later. She was down 1:6, 2:5 in her Round 3-match against Victoria Azarenka (Belarus) on sunday, and then saved a match point at 3:5 in the 2nd set. From that moment on, Svetlana won every single game, to succeed 1:6, 7:5, 6:0 in the end.
Well, let's see who will be the next to blow match points in Miami, and who will be the next to save.
