The last Grand Slam of the year is underway
Where are all the months gone? It's like every year - suddenly, the last Grand Slam of the season is underway.
The 2008 US Open started yesterday in Flushing Meadows. 128 male and 128 female players fight for the title at the "hardest tournament in the world".
The women's event will see a new champion compared to 2007, as last year's winner Justine Henin retired from the WTA Tour in the meantime.
In the men's competition, it will be interesting to follow whether Swiss star Roger Federer can pull things together, after losing the Wimbledon finals and the No. 1-spot to Rafael Nadal from Spain.
