Oakland Athletics
The Oakland Athletics were founded in 1901 as the Philadelphia Athletics in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.
After moving to Kansas City, Missouri in 1955, this professional baseball team became the Kansas City Athletics. Since 1968, they are based in Oakland, California and are called the Oakland Athletics.
