Red Bull New York
Red Bull New York is a pro soccer club from the US, based in New Jersey.
The team was established in 1995 as the New York/New Jersey MetroStars. From 1998 until 2006, the team was called MetroStars and has been renamed to Red Bull New York then.
In 2004, the club won the international La Manga Cup in Mucia (Spain), defeating Norwegian team Viking Stavanger in the finals.
Among former Red Bull New York players are Italy’s Roberto Donadoni (1996–1997), Lothar Matthäus from Germany (2000) and France’s Youri Djorkaeff (2005-2006).
