Scottie Pippen

Scottie Pippen was a basketball player for the NBA's Chicago Bulls, Houston Rockets and Portland Trailblazers. After an 18-year career, Pippen retired after the 2004 season.

One of the greatest all-around players in history, the 6-8 Pippen gave a face to the term point-forward and was one of the most feared defenders of his generation. He is, however, best remembered for being Robin to Michael Jordan's Batman during the 1990s Bulls Dynasty.

Scottie Pippen shortly became the Bulls' primary option when Jordan retired from 1993-95, winning the All-Star Game MVP in a pair of bright red shoes. In an infamous episode at the end of Game 3 of the 1994 Eastern Conference Finals against the New York Knicks, Pippen refused to re-enter the game with 1.8 seconds remaining because the final play was designed for Toni Kukoc.

Traded to the Houston Rockets in 1998, the star-studded team of Charles Barkley and Hakeem Olajuwon had internal chemistry issues and Pippen left after the season to join the Portland Trailblazers.

Scottie Pippen was a member of the Original Dream Team and was elected as one of the NBA's 50 Greatest Players in 1996.
