The Sweet 16, also known as the regional semifinals, refers to the sixteen teams that have made it past the first and second rounds of the NCAA Division I tournament in each bracket (East, West, South, and Midwest.) The winning teams of the Sweet Sixteen advance to the Elite Eight.
