Team

A certain number of players working together. There are two teams in a game, each competing against the other. The number of players on each team varies by sport:

In Basketball: Each team has 5 players on the court, with no less than 12 completing the team's roster.

In Football: Each team has 11 players on the field, but up to 53 are allowed on the roster, though only 45 may be asked to "suit up".

In Soccer: Like in football, each team has 11 players on the field, but only 5 are allowed as substitutes.

In Ice Hockey: Six players suit up to play the game, with another 14 in reserve.
