Triple-double

A triple-double means that that a player has reached double figures in three statistical categories in a single game. Most triple-doubles are achieved in a combination of points, rebounds and assists, though sometimes there are also triple-doubles involving blocks or steals.

Reaching a triple-double is one of the hardest and most impressive statistical feats in basketball as it requires a very versatile skill-set.

The all-time triple-double leader in the NBA is Oscar Robertson, followed by Magic Johnson and Jason Kidd.
